AAG Roc, which stands for "AINT A GAME," is an artist name inspired by a phrase created by his cousin at the beginning of their musical journey. Originating from Goldsboro, NC, AAG Roc grew up in public housing with a brother and two sisters. The financial struggles faced by their parents significantly shaped his perspective. At the age of 16, influenced by friends with a similar passion, he began songwriting. During an impromptu studio session, he tried his hand at songwriting, and the positive results encouraged him to delve deeper into the craft.
Despite life's ongoing challenges, AAG Roc found inspiration in his favorite rapper, Boosie, using his experiences to enrich his lyrics. His debut music video, "Gboro baby," garnered massive support from his hometown. Riding on its success, he soon released "Gudda," further solidifying his emerging reputation in the music scene. His talents didn't go unnoticed; Certified Official Entertainment took interest, especially when DJ Micky D showcased AAG Roc's songs on his podcast, "What DJs Do On Sunday". Eventually, Everett McNair, the CEO/Manager of "CERTIFIED OFFICIAL MUSIC," proposed a collaboration, marking AAG Roc's formal entry into the rap industry at the age of 30.
Beyond music, AAG Roc has a fondness for basketball, truck driving, and film-watching, among other interests. He has high aspirations for his career, hoping to top the music charts within the next five years and continuously make a mark as AAG ROC – the "GBORO BABY" – CERTIFIED OFFICIAL.
