EMG Beamer Boys are already a true-and-tested name in the music industry. Having been on the scene ever since 2011, have got nothing left to prove, though they continue to be one of the hottest, most innovative artist ensembles on the rap and hip-hop scene. All the way back to 2011, starting with “emg” #ripstudiimac, had a mission – making it out of the hood, and making a positive change. They’ve been plastering the Internet with high-quality music and videos.
In 2014, they saw a huge surge in popularity with the back-to-back release of the two hit singles, “Odog” and “Sheesh”. Ever since the early days, have been a voice for their city, and also have worked tirelessly to give a voice to the voiceless. They explore real life, hard situations that they have first-hand experience with.
Now, in 2023, are entering a new era. They’ve just recently put out the fantastic album “For Ever Always Brothers”. Weaving together the various styles of different artists, “For Ever Always Brothers” tells powerful, inspirational stories of real-life people from Buffalo NY. It is the first official release under their very own EMG Beamer Boys LLC.
The ensemble has also enjoyed a refreshed and inspirational perspective under new management. Presently helmed by Evelyn Pratcher, who is exploring her love of music through this enterprise. She’s also adding extra depth, as she skillfully uses her music to come to terms with the loss of her children, Shareef “Pistol Reef” Jackson (whom the album is dedicated to, and whose face is on the cover), and Elijah “Lark” Pratcher, and her youngest son, Shakur “Kuku” Pratcher currently incarcerated. The album is more than a dose of entertainment. It’s a form of activism, in part protesting unfair treatment, and the wrongful imprisonment of Kuku, with the song “Free Kuku”.
Have always been about shining a light on all walks of life and all situations. It’s about representing and giving a voice to those lost to gang violence and other misfortunes. also explores the members’ cultural connections, namely with the Nation of Islam. It is a very unusual and refreshing project, unlike anything you’ve listened to before.
Having previously been compared to artists like Wu Tang Clan, Drake, Ghostface, or 50 Cent, are their own eclectic and fascinating artist ensemble. They’ve also teamed up in the past with various big and promising names in the music industry, like Lucianothatmob, Acee, Jeremy Ball (Cochise), and Pep Johnson.
Currently, they’re hard at work promoting their new album, playing live shows both in their native Buffalo, and other cities, and doing what they can to help their community.
