About the song
This song was written and performed by me Carroll Love. Gary DiBenedetto of Studio D produced it and had two guys from his studio in Nashville, Tennessee to play the drums and guitar to the track. The name of the song came to me when I was listening to the radio and all I could hear was basically on every radio station, songs about bonfires and dirtroads. Don’t get me wrong I love them but it got old hearing especially when that seems like all that they would play. So I pick up my song book like usual and pulled in really deep into my feelings and grasped the first lyric which was the beginning of my chorus. I knew that I had wanted to write something deep and heart wrenching that you pull people in and gather their emotions like it would mine. It took me thirty minutes to write this song. I wanted to share a side of human emotions that’s hardly talked about in country music especially after a break up, which is the silent peacefulness of the situation while clambering out what I didn’t need at the same time. So I took a feeling that I had felt about a relationship from way back and brought it to life and then the song was born. I hope that you like it as much as I do and others that have played it do.
About the artist
I was born and now live in Thomasville, Georgia. I grew up riding the North Florida and South Georgia line. My parents divorced when I was three years old and the battles that they had kinda weighed heavy on me when I was growing up. My dad played his piano a lot and would play songs on it and sing, so at a young age I grew to love music because it is very peaceful to me. I love all genres of course because I believe if that you love music truly you would have to find a song in every genre to love or at least like and I did. I grew up playing in plays in school and the school bands from elementary all the way to high school. My grandparents would also teach me how to sing. From gospel all the way to traditional country music and early forms of rock music as well. My grandfather is a pastor still at the church I grew up in and taught me at the early age as well how to sing and I’ve enjoyed it fully. My mother on the other hand taught me how to be funny and witty and I fell in love with comedy and gained a humor side all the same. I worked as a third generation steel worker loading trucks until it shutdown and now I build boats for a company in Cairo, Georgia. I go and record music for my project which I’m hoping to be done really soon with for you all to enjoy. I started Recording August of last year and have a whole book of songs that I’m working on finishing and let the world hear.
